End of Year, New Work
Well its been quite an exciting year and I've been pretty busy all in all. I'm working towards a solo show in 2018 to showcase my current 'Existence is Doubted' project. I've also applied for a few opportunities so fingers crossed on that front.
Finally finished a new animation titled 'Interstellar Fly-by' again this uses my own drawings as textures, with the whole piece being inspired by the 'Voyager' space probes. The music/audio is Blind Willie Johnsons 'Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground' a stunningly atmospheric piece which is one of the 31 audio tracks chosen for the gold records stored on the 'Voyager' probes launched in 1977. Voyager has now left the influence of our solar system and is in Interstellar space, but at least its got a great mix-tape to keep it company. I think it fits perfectly. I have also been working on a large scale piece (titled New Tethyzonia) of over 20 different drawings which fit together to make a cartographic- like landscape, the idea being that each tile is a different plot. Ideally I would like to make an animation using the whole drawing to be shown beside it when complete, but we will have to wait and see how it goes. I've finished 12 only 10+ to go. Some examples should be below. Happy New Year to all and see you in 2018.

Drowned World View2
After a reshoot with different angles, quickened up a bit and a rethink with the perspective issues I'm really pleased with this second animation. Take it away...

Drowned World (The Abadoned Facility) completed 'Blender' animation November 2017
Here is the final rendering of my recent animation (stills already shown), although its far from perfect, I don't think there's much more I can do on my little laptop, although I may well work back into the landscape to sculpt it in a bit more detail and maybe render a smaller clip from a different angle to sort out the perspective. Still I'm quite pleased with it. So without further a do...'DrownedWorld (The Abandoned Facility) take 3.There is some flashing/flickering imagery at the start.

New Work and Exhibition News November 2017
So as we reach the end of another year I've been pretty busy. New work is always on the march and I've just completed a large 'Matrix' drawing (pictures to follow later) as well as a number of new paintings, smaller drawn works and some more animations. Below should be some stills from an animation called ' Drowned World (abandoned 'Facility') which I have been working on and trying to get right for some time, I'm nearly there!!! Again this uses my map drawings as tools for all the scenery and textures in particular 'Jetsam' and an older piece, which is becoming a recurring feature, 'The Islands of Reil' .
I have also been invited to show a painting with 'Lumen Gallery',a London based gallery collective who explore themes relating to 'Astronomy' and 'Light' in their forthcoming show at Bankley Studios. for more info on the show and about the work of 'Lumen' please see:
